Provincial Park Passes
Ontario Parks has provided free vehicle permits for members of the North Kawartha Public Library so you can enjoy using its network of provincial parks. Use your library card to borrow one of our park passes today! Visit the Park Locator page to find a Provincial Park near you.
Here’s What You Need to Know
- You can place a hold on a pass using our catalogue.
- You are advised to consult the Ontario Parks website for important information about park locations, visits, hours of operation, and closures so you can plan your visit accordingly.
- A list of parks that are currently open can be found here.
- Provincial Park Passes go out for 7 days.
- The pass entitles one vehicle (excluding buses) and its occupants to enter any provincial park subject to park regulations

Library patrons are able to use the borrowed seasonal permit’s serial number to obtain guaranteed access to these parks at no extra charge:
Algonquin, Arrowhead, Balsam Lake, Bass Lake, Batchawana Bay, Blue Lake, Bonnechere, Craigleith, Darlington, Driftwood, Earl Rowe, Forks of the Credit, Kakabeka Falls, Kap-Kig-Iwan, Kettle Lakes, Killarney, Lake Superior, Long Point, Mara, McRae Point, Mono Cliffs, North Beach, Pancake Bay, Pinery, Presqu’ile, Point Farms, Rainbow Falls, Rushing River, Samuel de Champlain, Sandbanks, Selkirk, Sibbald Point, Six Mile Lake, Sleeping Giant, Turkey Point, Voyageur, Windy Lake
Advanced reservations are strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. To do so, borrow a permit from the library and use the permit’s serial number to reserve day use at no extra charge. The serial number can be found on the back of the permit in the lower right-hand corner. Patrons with reservations are required to bring the seasonal permit they borrow from you into the park along with confirmation of their advanced permit in printed or digital format.
