Nonfiction DVDs, Books on Cd, Large Print Book, Graphic Novel

You can search for any of these collections by typing the collection title in the catalogue search box.

Books on CD

  • If you have vision problems or just enjoy having books read to you, this is the collection for you.

DVDs

  • The North Kawartha Public Library purchases bestselling movies and some classics as well as documentaries, all in DVD format. We do not have VHS movies in our collection and we do not purchase movies in Blu-Ray format at this time.

Large Print

  • Large Print books have oversized, high contrast type to make them easier to read. The Large Print collection is clearly marked with a sign in the Apsley Branch.

Graphic Novels

  • We have adult, teen and junior graphic novels. They are mixed into the regular collections, but you can find them by their red graphic novel stickers.

Bridge Club

  • The library has a collection of Bridge books available to local bridge players who are learning to play Bridge or simply trying to improve their game.

French Books

  • Our French collection is housed in the children's area. There are picture books and chapter books for children marked with a French spine label.

Long before today there have been First Nation peoples who have been stewards and defenders of this land. The North Kawartha Library with respect and gratitude acknowledge we stand on the traditional, ancestral and treaty lands of the Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig territory and in the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which include: Curve Lake, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scugog Island, Rama, Beausoleil and Georgina Island First Nations.
